Obituary

Eleanor Costick (nee Wheeler) passed away suddenly on February 22, 2023, at the age of 79, beloved wife of John J. Costick, Sr. Devoted mother of Tina Brooks (the late Jim), John J. Costick, Jr. (Gloria), Kimberly Costick (Tony Staniskis) and Maryanna Fitzwater (Donald). Cherished grandmother to Ashley Costick, Lauramarie Mann (Anthony), Keith Costick, Christopher Costick (Charly), Cole Costick, Victoria Bernek, and Matthew Costick-Marlin. Great-Grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren. Sister of Edmund Wheeler (Maureen) and the late Barbara Wack (the late Daniel).

Eleanor was extremely devoted to her family that she loved very much, especially her husband John. She was the foundation of the family through and through and always filled our home with warmth, love and kindness. She was an excellent gift giver, always knew the right thing to say and never missed a special date. She was our constant cheerleader and supporter.

Eleanor also loved being with her friends at Pinewood Estates in Barnegat, NJ, where she played bingo and was Vice-President of the Homeowners Association and Publisher of the Pinewood Post Newspaper.

Eleanor will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Burns Funeral Home ( 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia PA 19114 ) from 9:30AM-11:00AM, followed by her Funeral Service. Interment private.
