Eleanor S., age 90,  passed away on September 9, 2017, in Madison, Wisconsin in the loving presence of her family.  She was born in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Carl and Susan Kiena and sister to Patricia.  She married William Wiegand, a life long resident of Philadelphia, October 5, 1946.  Together they shared 51 years of marriage.  In addition to her life commitment of being a caring mother to her family, Eleanor took great pride in serving as the executive assistant for three consecutive presidents at Holy Family University in Philadelphia.  She enjoyed this work for 26 years.  Eleanor is survived by her children, William (Dorothy) Wiegand Jr. of Atco, NJ and Eileen (Thomas) Sutula of Madison, WI, three nephews, six grandchildren and their spouses, and ten great-grandchildren.  She was affectionately known as "Nanny" to a family that was extremely blessed to have felt the depth of her unconditional love and generous spirit.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather Saturday, October 7, 2017, 9 AM, St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, followed by her Memorial Mass 10 AM. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to help the poor and homeless at St. Francis Inn, 2441 Kensington Ave., PO Box 3746, Philadelphia, PA 19125.
