Elizabeth "Betti" Capponi

Elizabeth “Betti” Capponi passed away suddenly on February 6, 2026, at the age of 62.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Antoinette Capponi and the devoted wife of 40 years to Michele Stewart. Betti was a loving sister to Cathi Christino (Carl), Paul (Sharon), Madelyn Ziegler (Erick), Tom (Lisa), Frani Casale (Joe), and D’Arcy McQuoid (Art), and the late Teresa Keough. She is also survived by her many cherished and loved nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family.

An avid Philadelphia sports fan, Betti also loved to travel and embrace life’s adventures. She was known for her infectious enthusiasm and her happy-go-lucky, positive spirit, which brought joy to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and her beloved pup, Charlie.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by her service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
