Elizabeth E. Gaus (nee Moell ) of Philadelphia (recently of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey) died peacefully on March 6, 2018 after a long illness.  She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Charles E. ( Nuffy ) Gaus Sr.  Beloved mother of Charles E. (Skip) Gaus Jr. (Kate Ward-Gaus) and Patricia Adams (predeceased by Daniel).  Loving Mommom to Christopher (Christa) Gaus, Kathleen (Daniel) Sullivan and Jennifer Gaus . GGMom to Hunter Gaus. Predeceased by her brother Julius (Janice) Moell and her parents Julius and Elizabeth Moell . Relatives and fr iends are invited to a visitation on Monday March 12, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:15 AM at St. Michael's Church, 1445 N. 2 nd St., Philadelphia, PA 19122 followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Elizabeth had multiple nicknames including Betty, Bett , Beth and most recently to the some of the staff at Brightview Assisted Living - Ellie .  Throughout her adult life she worked in a variety of capacities and settings including Clicquot Club, the Pressmen's Union, a trucking company off Wheatsheaf St., Fosters - a local company that made space suits for NASA, Immaculate Conception Parish (as a classroom teacher), and the Department of Youth Activities for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (as a Secretary) .  Betty was an active member in a number of neighborhood ladies clubs including the Lut heran Settlement Center and the Fishtown 5 & 1 Club where she ser ved as President.
