IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth "Libby"
H. Couce (Née Doebler)
May 13, 1951 – March 21, 2025
Elizabeth H. "Libby" Couce (née Doebler) passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family.
A resident of Philadelphia, Libby was raised in Oakford, Bucks County, and lived for many years on Summit Avenue. She was a proud graduate of Neshaminy High School, Class of 1969, and also attended Bucks County Technical School, where she studied distribution education.
Libby worked at Sears Roebuck from 1968 to 1985, serving as a record clerk and handling catalog shipping and receiving. She was known for her dedication and work ethic.
A devoted member of St. James Lutheran Church (Castor Ave. & Pratt St.), Libby gave generously of her time, volunteering in the church nursery and at Vacation Bible School. She also lent her musical talents to the Bell Choir.
Libby had a passion for reading and a true gift for baking. Her cakes and cookies were beloved by many—especially her Christmas cookies, which were eagerly requested year after year.
She was the cherished daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Doebler, and the devoted wife of Renaldo "Ron" Couce. Libby was a loving mother to Jennifer Douglass (Daniel) and John Couce, and an adoring grandmother to Finnegan and Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her brothers Donald Doebler and William Doebler (Doris), and is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: James, Colleen, Anja, Sven, Mary, and Andrea.
