Elizabeth R. Smith passed away on September 6, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence. Loving mom to Elizabeth Kirschbaum (Dave) and Robert Smith, with whom she resided. Cherished Toot to Steven Tyler Smith and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elizabeth is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Born in Philadelphia, Elizabeth, affectionately known as “Betty,” later worked as a switchboard operator for Quest Diagnostics.

Betty had a true love for singing, which was one of her greatest passions. She especially treasured the time she spent singing and sharing friendships with the Belmar group. Betty also loved to travel and always enjoyed going on cruises. Some of her happiest times were spent dwon at the Jersey shore, where she could relax and enjoy being away.

Above all else, Betty loved her family. The time she shared with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family meant the world to her. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the many wonderful memories she leaves behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Service. Interment Fernwood Cemetery.
