Ellen E. Donnelly (nee Bennett) passed away peacefully on March 11, 2023 at the age of 70 surrounded by family and friends. Loving wife of the late James F. Donnelly, III "Coach". Devoted mother of Michele and Jim. Dear Grammy of Marisa, Ashley, Monica, Abigail, James, and Keane. Sister of Stephen Bennett. Mrs. Donnelly was a proud graduate of Little Flower, Class of 70. Before retiring Ellen worked as a long time Philadelphia Crossing Guard, an Acme Markets employee, and was also formerly active in the Summerdale Boys Club Community. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday Eve 6:00-9:00 PM and Friday 9:00-10:45 AM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 followed by her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Father Judge Athletic Dept. 3301 Solly Ave. Phila., PA 19136 or the A.O.H.
