Elois (Lois) T. Smith (nee McGee) passed away peacefully at home at the age of 84 on November 4, 2025. Beloved wife of the late James T. Smith and the loving mother of Janice Kimberly Jones (John). Dear Grandmom of Ashley and Brandon Jones, and Great Grandmom of Lillyana, Zaya, Zoë and Leovanni Jones. Daughter of the late William and Creoler (Richardson) McGee. Sister of the late Dora G. Feeney and late William E. McGee. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lois was an enrolled member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe and an active wildlife advocate. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM to 4:45 PM, followed by her Memorial Service 5:00 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
