Ernest R. Leitenberger passed away February 25, 2021 at the age 82 from cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). Predeceased by his loving wife Rose (nee Davis). Loving father of Roseanne DeSanto (Steve), Maureen Harnishfeger (Mark), and the late Robert. Also survived by his sister Margaret Ems (Bill) and his 5 grandchildren (Christina Filomeno (Matt), Nicole, Andrew, Justin, Ryan), 1 great grandchild (Matthew), and nieces (Joan, Claire). Ernie attended Dobbins Technical High School and later worked at Tastykake as an electrician. Ernie loved going on cruises to Bermuda, being a DJ for block parties and dances.  Ernie enjoyed making models and small replicas of homes. He always made fun adventures for his grandchildren when they came over to visit. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 from 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM followed by his Service at 10:30 AM.
