Beloved wife of the late Anthony. Devoted mother of Anthony (Shirley), Frank (Pam), Michael (Lynn), Thomas (Karen), Carl "Kurt" (Karen), Mark (Donna), Patrick, and Christopher (Rosemarie), loving grandmom of 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, dear sister of Tom Gallagher and Edna Montanye. Born in Delanco New Jersey, Shirley was a waitress for over 30 years and loved to serve the community. A Republican Committee Woman, she was known as a "workhorse" and made sure everyone would sign up to vote. As block captains, Shirley and Tony were always available to provide assistance to those in need in their East Frankford neighborhood. She retired from the Delaware River Port Authority after serving 3 years on the Walt Whitman Bridge. Shirley was a member of the Quaker City Dart Throwers, an exceptional bowler, and loved community bingo nights. Relatives and friends a re invited to her viewing Friday 9 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, followed by her Service 10:30 AM. Interment will be held at St. Valentine Cemetery.
