Fern Sacks of Ewing passed away on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015. She was the cherished sister of Andy Sacks, beloved aunt to Stephanie, Louis and Benjamin Sacks, as well as loving "Aunt Fernie" to her many close friends' children. Fern lived life to the fullest and surrounded herself with dear friends who, like her, loved life and were there for her, just as she was for them. Fern was raised in Hamilton Square, NJ, and also lived in Manhattan, where she taught for Clairol and was also a stylist on model shoots. For many years Fern was a stylist at Arleen's Hair Studio in Princeton Junction. Fern lived in Trenton's Mill Hill section. Fern was a catalyst for bringing people together. She touched many hearts in her 50 years and was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed. We are forever grateful to all of Fern's caregivers, including Cancer Institute of New Jersey-Hamilton, Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Preferred Care, Ewing. Please join us for services on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown, PA. Interment is in Ewing Cemetery. Shiva will be private.
