Florence "Doodie" Kane 88, on August 25, 2022, passed away peacefully in her apartment at The Palace Nursing Home. She was an original Parkwood homeowner and worked many years at the Presidential and then at Byberry Hospital. She was a member of St. Anselm Church and was the unofficial mayor of Vinton Road!

Doodie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Kane. She was the daughter of the late James and Florence (nee Greene) McHugh. Also preceded in death by her brother Jack McHugh (Ronnie), she was survived by her brother James McHugh (Pearl), and her sister Dorothea Claffey (George).

Doodie was the devoted mother of Catherine Direso (Robert), Thomas Stopyra (Diane), MaryAnn Holland (Dennis), preceded in death Sissy Kane and Scott Stopyra; adoring grandmother of Catherine Kuyper (Mike), Cynthia Daniele (Dominic) Dorothea Watson (Ted), Jamie Parson (Tony), MaryAnn Reinhart (Bryan), Dennis Holland (Annially), Michael Kane (Christine) Christopher Carder, preceded in death, Daniel. Doodie was the great-grandmother (Gigi) of, Sara, Johnny, Siena, Joey, Chase, Luke, Payton, Leah, Elli, Livi, Roman, Victor and Wade.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 8:30 - 10:00 A.M.  Burns Funeral Home 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114, Mass 10:30 am at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154. I nterment at Resurrection Cemetery.
