It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frank B. McIntire, who passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at the age of 84.

Frank was the beloved husband of the late Nora McIntire (nee Sweeney), with whom he shared many years of love and laughter. He was a loving and devoted father to Francis (Theresa), Lisa Pazdan, and Michele Hardiman (Dean), and a proud grandfather to 9 grandchildren and great-grandfather to 12 great-grandchildren.

Frank was the epitome of a family man, whose love and devotion to his loved ones shone through every aspect of his life. A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, he cherished the excitement of game day, but found equal joy in quieter moments playing cards, often humorously lamenting his losses to his beloved Nora. Sundays were special, filled with the smooth sounds of Sinatra, as he indulged in his passions for history and reading, the latter being a love he nurtured deeply. A proud US Coast Guard veteran and dedicated union member, Frank's service and commitment extended beyond his personal life into his community. Family vacations were the highlight of his years, from the adventurous road trips across the United States in the 1970s to cherished times at Lake Wallenpaupack and the sunny shores of Myrtle Beach, filled with laughter, lottery tickets for the kids, and an ice-cold beer or a hot cup of coffee—often sipped from his infamous, reused styrofoam cup. His love for political discussions was as spirited as his aversion to wasting food; any leftovers were promptly claimed for his next breakfast. Frank's life was a testament to love, laughter, and the simple joys shared with those he held dear.

Frank's family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a viewing on February 12, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114. A Funeral Service will follow.

Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery on February 13, 2025. The procession will depart from Burns Funeral Home promptly at 10:30 AM for an 11:30 AM burial.

Frank's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
