Fred C. Letterio

Fred C. Letterio passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of Marianne Letterio (nee Breen), with whom he shared many wonderful years.

Fred was the loving father of Gina Kurz Clifton (Jim) and Donna Milillo (Joe), and the adoring Pop Pop of Jaimie Kurz, Luke Kurz, and Julian Milillo. He was the dear brother of the late Frankie, Paul “Marty,” and Rosemary. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Fred proudly served his country as a United States Army Veteran. He dedicated many years to the University of Pennsylvania, where he worked as a machine specialist, assisting doctors with their research. Fred truly loved his work and the people he worked alongside. His dedication was evident throughout his career, as he continued working at Penn until the age of 80.

Outside of work, Fred was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoyed cheering on his team. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday September 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Mass cards are preferred.
