He then joined the Atlantic Refining Company in Philadelphia as a research statistician and moved to California as manager of information systems when the company became ARCO. He was briefly employed by Hess Oil Company and finished his career in 1986 as VP of Information Systems for the University City Science Center in Philadelphia, where he headed up the five year National Breast Cancer Screening Project.

George was an avid skier, as befit his Tyrolean roots. He was a ski instructor at Elk Mountain and then took up cycling and became the New Jersey time trial champion for his age group. He cycled locally with the Princeton Freewheelers, where he was known as 'the ageless wonder', and in the Dolomites of northern Italy. For the past several years, he has served as a volunteer every Thursday morning at the McGuire Air Force base helping with travel arrangements for military families.

He is survived by five children, Eric James Foradori of Oswego, N.Y., Steven Paul Foradori of Milford, Mich., Linda Louise Foradori of East Windsor, N.J., Leah Marie Foradori (Tim Jordan) of Charlottsville, Va., and Elizabeth Carroll Potosky (Mark) of Moorestown; and nine grandchildren, Heather Carter, Katherine Foradori, Sarah Foradori, Jessica Foradori, Kylie Foradori, Alex Jordan, Anna Jordan, Bryce Potosky, and Connor Potosky, and his sister, Rita Schug (Charles) of Gainsville, Va. He is also survived by Elizabeth Nickerson Foradori of Moorestown, and Gloria Seydler Foradori of Voorhees.

A celebration of his life will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel, Roman Catholic Church at 42 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057, Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. All attendees are invited to join the family for a luncheon following the services.
