George W. Plocher, Jr. passed away May 3, 2023.  Loving husband of Patsy (nee Senior).  Beloved father of Michael Plocher (Linda), Brenda Plocher, and the late George Plocher (the late Barb). Dear Pop of Mark (Deena), Nichole (Charles), Brett, Ashley, Jessica (Frank), Melissa (Tom), Mykkallinn (Steven), Taylor (Gary), Michael (Jess), and the late Christopher; and great grandpop of 14.  Brother of Florence "Sis" Slook (Joe), the late Charles "Chuck" Plocher (the late Ellen).  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A life well lived, George was born to George and Florence Plocher.  He was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia until he entered the United States Air Force in 1955. After he received his honorable discharge in 1959, he returned to Kensington where he met Patricia "Patsy" Plocher, they married in 1960. George, also known as "Sonny", and Patsy had 3 children, Buddy, Michael, and Brenda. George was a member of Teamsters Local 107 for over 25 years. George was also a big part of his community in Kensington, coaching for many years at the Kensington Ramblers Boys and Girls Club. George loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping and spending time at the shore. George was an avid sports fan he loved his Eagles and Phillies but most of all he was a huge Nittany Lions fan. He also enjoyed family poker games and was an avid bowler. He will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, June 1, 2023, 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Road, Levittown, PA, followed by his Burial 2:00 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
