Obituary

A resident of Lower Makefield, who passed away on August 21, 2010 after a valiant struggle with Interstitial Lung Disease, a complication from Lupus. He was 38. George was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Anne (Padgeon) Zehner. George is survived by his wife Pamela Fern (Bell) Zehner, his father George J. Zehner III, and his sister Lizabeth Anne Zehner. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Born on October 9, 1971, he was a graduate of Pennsbury High School class of 1989. He attended Penn State University and LaSalle University. George was on a Championship Pennsbury High School Swim Team. He also played on his Junior High School Football Team, and played on several PAA baseball teams. George was a Philadelphia Phillies Fan and had custom jerseys for almost every sport imaginable. He had a big baseball card and music collection and was also a very avid reader. In addition George loved to play and collect Martin and Les Paul Guitars, and was considered to be a walking, talking sports and music encyclopedia. As a 13 year old, George was among the youngest to obtain the Boy Scouts highest rank of Eagle Scout. We can not say enough about the outstanding and compassionate care that was given to him through the Penn Wissahickon Hospice. Services and Interment are Private for the Family.
