Of Philadelphia, passed on January 16, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family and 2 cats. Devoted daughter of the late George and Harriet Dooley and sister of the late George "Georgie" Dooley Jr. Survived by her sister Janet (Tom) Brennan and Marie (Joe) Tuffner, beloved aunt to Janet, Tom (Nancy), Joe, and Jeffrey (Laurie). Doting great aunt to Caitlin, Jeffrey, Tommy, Isabelle, Ryan and Marcus. Gerri was an avid reader and maintained an extensive library of books throughout her life and was also a great lover of animals and movies. She was a dedicated employee of Cardinal Dougherty High School for over 29 years, and will best be remembered for her willingness to drop everything and help anyone in need. Family and friends are invited to her viewing Sunday Evening 7 to 9 PM and also Monday 8:30 to 9:30 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., followed by her Funeral Mass 10 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church.
