Geraldine C. Gould (nee Coogan) passed away peacefully on January 30, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of 62 years to Gerald Gould, whom she married on June 6, 1959 at the Holy Name Church in Philadelphia.  They were known to everyone as "Jerry" and "Gerry".  Geraldine "Gerry" was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, PA.  Daughter of the late Thomas Charles Coogan and Rose Mary Steinbach, Gerry was predeceased by her son Edward.  She is survived by Gerald, her son James and his wife Gladys, her grandchildren Ryan, Alexis and Stephen Gould and step-grandchildren Dennis, Justine and Ryan Gleason.

Gerry loved her family and cherished her grandchildren.  She lived life to the fullest.  Those who knew her best knew how much Gerry enjoyed family gatherings, boating, fishing, Wildwood vacations, a good party with friends, trips to the casino, her Kindle and playing card games.  Her guilty pleasure was reading or binge-watching a good crime drama, psychological thriller or dark comedy.  Jerry and Gerry were long-time members of the Wissinoming Yacht Club where Gerry was active with the ladies auxiliary.  She and Jerry loved shuffleboard and were quite the formidable opponents.

Gerry was employed as a bookkeeper for several years before working as a server at local restaurants:  The original Chickie's and Pete's on Robbins Ave., Tony's Famous Tomato Pies on Frankford Ave. and Smiley's on Roosevelt. Blvd.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, February 5, 2022 9:00 AM St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114, followed by her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Geraldine's name to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111 or the International Fund for Animal Welfare (ifaw), 290 Summer Street, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675.
