Geraldine Kauf of Newtown died Friday at the Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. She was 79.

Born in Trenton, N.J., she had resided in this area all of her life.

A wonderful homemaker, she would always spread love and joy.

She was a member of the Bristol Jewish Center.

She was a former member of Congregation Beth El of Levittown.

Mrs. Kauf had been very active in the Red Cross Blood Drive, donating blood for many years. She had been honored by the Red Cross. She also was active with the Cub Scouts as a den mother.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lillian Gross; and mother of the late Emily Whitman. She is survived by her husband, Aribert; a son, Larry Kauf (Joy) of Little Elm,Texas; two sisters, Rae Passer (Stuart) of Langhorne, and Shirley Davis of Levittown; a son-in-law, Bruce Whitman of Lumberton, N.C.; four grandchildren, Michael Whitman, Charlene Whitman, Brandon Kauf, and Tiffany Hurman; nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Road, Levittown. Interment will follow at King David Memorial Park, Trevose. Shivah will be observed at the Kauf residence in Levittown.
