Geraldine O'Brien passed away peacefully on September 20, 2018.  She lived her life to the fullest and had a natural ability to make everyone laugh.  She is the loving mother of Tommy Harrison (Cynthia), Janis Harris (Bill), late son Bernard Knittel, Christine Knittel, and Robert Knittel (Crista).  She was the loving sister of Janis, Jack, Jim and the late Judy.  She was the loving grandmother of late grandsons Keith and John; she is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda, Brianna, Steven, Danielle, Charlene, Tyler, Alyssa, Aubrey, Robby, Amber, Michael, Joielyn, Joan, Samantha, and her 16 great grandchildren.  Daughter of the late John and Geraldine Harrison.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.  Family and friends are invited to the Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19114 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 27, 2018 to reminisce, grieve and support each other in remembering and saying goodbye to Geraldine  "Gerri".  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103 in her memory would be appreciated.
