Gertrude L. Fonnemann-Lory 1922 - 2019. November 2, 1922 - April 8, 2019. Gertrude a long time resident of Northeast Philadelphia died Monday the 8th of April at home with her family by her side.Born 1922 in Philadelphia to Herman J. and Leona M. (Bartsch). Gertrude attended Saint Peters Commercial School and then attended John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School to graduate in 1940. Wife of the late Lawrence A., Loving Mother of Trudy (Hajduk) and Lorraine (Schannen). Sister to the late Herman (Sonny) Fonnemann of Philadelphia and Virginia Nahorney of Bonneau S.C. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren Karen, Joseph, Kristine, David, Donna, Nancy, Richard. Great-Grandmother to 18 and Great-Great Grandmother of 10, 2 Nieces and 2 Nephews, 2 Great Nieces and 2 Great Great Nieces. Gertrude enjoyed traveling, the Jersey Shore, Reading,Movies, Family Games. She will be remembered for her caring and loving way and her loyalty to her family and friends. There will be a viewing on Saturday, April 13, 2019  at Christ The King Church (3252 Chesterfield Road Philadelphia, PA 19114) from 9:00AM to 10:30AM, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery (25 Byberry Rd. Huntingdon Valley Pa. 19006).
