Gladys I. Hillis(nee Hughes), January 26, 2016, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Jack (the love of her life). Devoted mother of Lynette McDonnell (John P.), Jack (Pat) and Bob (Karen), loving mom mom of John Jr. (Megan), Lynette Marie (Ed), Kelly, Chrissy, Sandy (Brian), Laura (Jason), Breanne, Nicole, and Ashley, great grandmom to Kyle, Jimmy, Brady, and Brendan, dear sister of Bill Hughes (Maureen), Eleanor Short (Barry), John Hughes, and the late Dolores Rider; also survived by her sister in law Alyce Jane Roach. Gladys was a member of Torresdale Swim Club for 50 years and a member of the Primrose Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, St. David's Lutheran Church, 9169 Academy Road, Phila, PA 19114, followed by her Service 11 AM. Interment is Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. David's Lutheran Church, in her memory would be appreciated.
