Grace E. Hernandez (nee Lonergan), 76, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Grace was the beloved wife of Pedro "Joe" Hernandez for 58 years. She was a devoted and loving mother to Tina VonHofen (Paul), Lisa Hillman (Robert), and Betsy Mason (Bill). She was the cherished Nanny to Grace (Alex), Molly, Brittney, Zachary, Taylor (John), Joseph,  Sarah, and the late George Sheeron.  She was also an adored Gram to Jackson, Jake, and Peter.   Grace was also a dear sister to John Lonergan (Deborah), Elizabeth Finn (the late Tom), Cathie Botkovic (the late Joe), Debbie Mason (Charles), and Kevin, and was survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Grace's love for her family was boundless, and she was known as the matriarch who held everyone together with her kindness, wisdom, and generosity. She was a phenomenal baker, always sharing her delicious treats with family and friends. In her spare time, she found joy in online shopping, always seeking out thoughtful gifts for her loved ones.
Her infectious smile, warm heart, and unwavering love will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Grace leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and the comforting presence she brought to her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Thursday evening at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia PA 19114) from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday morning 9:00AM-10:30AM, followed by her Funeral Mass, 11 A.M. at St. Dominic's Catholic Church (8504 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19136). Interment Hillside Cemetery.
