Grace M. Salamone (nee Valentino) formerly of South Philadelphia passed away December 14, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Sr. Devoted mother Joseph L. Jr. (Marie), Steven R., and Richard J. (Gwen); loving mom mom of Andrew, Marguerite, Gavin, and Emma. Dear sister of the late James and Rudolph. Also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Grace dedicated her life to her family, especially her grandchildren. Nothing made her more happy than making her family a multi-course Italian meal featuring her famous meatballs. She cherished her closest friends she affectionately called "The Girls".  She was a devout Catholic and prayed before going to sleep each night. She will be deeply missed by everyone she touched.  Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday Dec. 21, 2021 at St. Martha Church, 11301 Academy Rd. Phila., PA 19154 from 9:00-9:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Resurrection Cem. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Fund , 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
