Harold N. Perkins, Sr., age 92, passed away on February 6, 2025. He was the son of the late Emma Ballotte (nee Bailey) and the beloved husband of the late Rita Perkins (nee Niszczak).

Harold was born in Grand Junction Colorado and his family later moved to southern California where he graduated from Alhambra City High School. Harold was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the USS Princeton and later worked for General Electric as an electronics repair instructor, training technicians at various shops throughout the mid-Atlantic area. His true passion was for music, and he enriched the lives of many through his musical performances. He was a dedicated singer at both St. Jerome's and St. Anselm's Churches in Northeast Philadelphia. His musical talents extended beyond the church, as he was also affiliated with the Delaware Valley Opera Company, the Northeast Oratorio Society, The Robert Ensinger Chorale, and the Men of Harmony. Harold's love for singing led him to regularly perform a one-man show, at PATH, and other assisted living locations in the Philadelphia area where he was affectionately known as Harold "Tex" Perkins.

He was a devoted and loving father to Harold Perkins, Jr. (Tina), Larry Perkins (Paulette), Kenneth Perkins (Angela), Edward Perkins, and the late Diane Scheuermann. Harold was also a cherished grandpop to Joshua (Regan), Ryan (Molly), Matthew (Kate), Harold III (Michelle), Thomas, Taylor, Brad (Kristy), and Lauren, and a proud great-grandpop to Vance, Nora, Avery, Aiden, Morgan, Kasey, Mirabel, Hailey, and Grace.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19114, beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by his service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
