Obituary

Hazel Lorraine Andrew Knoll, 93, mother of Andrea Lee Belardo of West Trenton, N.J. passed away Saturday, October 29, in the arms of her loving daughter.

Mrs. Knoll was born in Andalusia, Pa. July 25, 1918, daughter of the late Margaret Yorke Andrew and Thomas C. Andrew. She attended All Saint's School and Bensalem High School.
Her beloved husband, George J. Knoll, and her loving son George Alan Knoll predeceased her. She resided in N.E. Philadelphia, was a lifelong member of All Saint's Episcopal Church serving over 25 years on the Altar Guild. For many years she loved volunteering Monday through Friday, assisting the church secretary in the parish office. A devoted wife and mother, she adored her husband and two children. She was so outgoing and loving to all she met that she became like a second mother and surrogate grand mom to many. Hazel loved helping everyone, and especially thrived assisting her daughter in her many projects by making props and sewing hundreds of costumes for Villa Victoria Academy Christmas plays, musicals and ballet performances. She also loved helping out at horse shows and ice skating competitions. Mrs. Knoll was honored by the International Side-Saddle Organization as "Mother of the Year" 1987, and was the recipient of the last "Star Followers Award," bestowed by the late Rev. Dr. Edward Chinn, former rector of All Saint's Episcopal Church, Torresdale, Pa.

She was a wonderful baker, seamstress, and crafter. She loved good music, especially waltzes and polkas, flowers, particularly purple, lavender and pink ones, and really loved enjoying time on the beach at the Jersey shore with her family.

A lady of great faith, Hazel Knoll was a beautiful, giving person, always putting her family, friends, and others first, expecting nothing in return.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Andrea Lee Belardo, of West Trenton, N.J. She also leaves behind several cousins, and many loving and special friends. She is now, and always will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
