Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died at Chandler Hall, January 8, 2012, with family at her side, and fought a courageous battle against cancer for several years. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence M Britt. Both parents preceded in death Kee C Fong and Nancy E (Adams) Fong. Also preceded in death are sisters, Dorothy Christian and Hannah Fong. Surviving siblings: Dolores Melchiorre, Linda Fritz, Nancy Wilkins (bil Randy), Lorraine Webb (bil William), Kelvin Fong (sil Angela), Jeanette Andersen partner Raymond Buchichio, and Larry Fong (sil Denise). Survived by her godchildren she cherished Mark Melchiorre, Alisha Hubbard, Erika Davis, Jessica Fong, and Michael Fong, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Employed at Simon and Schuster as a supervisor, until her illness. Hilda enjoyed family functions, sharing time and taking trips with her family, and sharing her love and knowledge of books with all. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Wednesday evening, 7-9 P.M., and Thursday morning, 10-10:45 A.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 1514 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown, PA 19057.
