In Sook Yoon

In Sook “Sue” Yoon, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026. She was born in 1939 in Incheon, South Korea, trained as a nurse, married, and immigrated to the US in 1971. She resided in Bucks County for over 50 years.

In Sook was the devoted wife to Myong Son Yoon for 60 years, before he predeceased her in 2024. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Hoffman (John) and Christina Yoon (Brian Brunelle), and loving grandson Sam Hoffman.

In Sook’s training as a nurse allowed her family to immigrate to the US in response to a world-wide call for qualified nurses. As a nurse in the Korean national health service, In Sook applied for and was accepted to a nursing position in the US. She had to re-start her nursing career by working as an aide, then LPN before passing her board exams, which qualified her to work as a registered nurse at several hospitals in Philadelphia and Lower Bucks County. She worked in the ICU and CCU before her retirement from Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol. In Sook had a second career as a business owner with her husband and operated several local stores in Bucks and Hunterdon counties. Upon her final retirement, Sue learned line dancing and enjoyed it so much that she taught classes at church and local senior centers. In Sook also became a Phillies fan, and loved to travel, whether with her husband, extended family or the senior groups she joined.

Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate In Sook at a service on Friday, May 1, 2026. The Gathering will begin at 10:00 A.M. and will be immediately followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M at the Burns Funeral Home, 1514 Woodbourne Road, Levittown, PA 19057. The family will hold a private interment.

Following the Memorial Service, all are invited to a lunch reception at Purple Leaf Chinese and Japanese Cuisine at 119 Floral Vale Blvd., Yardley, PA 19067.

친구와 가족들은 2026년 5월 1일 금요일에 열리는 인숙 장례식에서 인숙을 기념하기 위해 모일 것을 초대합니다. 모임은 오전 10시에 시작되어 곧바로 오전 11시에 번스 장례식장(1514 Woodbourne Road, Levittown, PA 19057)에서 추모식이 거행됩니다. 가족들은 비공개 매장을 거행할 예정입니다.

추모식 후에는 모든 분들이 펜실베이니아주 야들리 119 플로럴 베일 블러바드에 위치한 퍼플 리프 차이니즈 앤 일본 요리 점심 리셉션에 초대받아 드립니다.
