James J., 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 15, 2015. Beloved husband and soulmate of 54 years to Bernadette M. (nee Rhodes). Devoted father to James E. (Stephen), Valerie A. Wilus (Francis) and Karen M. Gerdy (Michael). Loving grandpop to Jessica, Bryan and Kaitlyn. Brother of Valerie O'Reilly and the late Ronald G. Armitage. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. James was a member of the Christ The King Men's Association for many years. Family and friends are invited to his viewing Monday 9-10:30 A.M. at Christ The King Church, 3252 Chesterfield Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19114. Christian mass to follow 11 A.M. Interment will be private.
