James G. Bagnell

James G. Bagnell, lovingly known as “Jim,” passed away suddenly on February 26, 2026, at the age of 63.

Jim was the beloved son of the late Daniel and Dolores Bagnell, and a loving and devoted brother to Susan Brunner, Daniel Bagnell (Marcia), and Dolores Bagnell. Dear uncle to Christine Darigo (Joseph Zagnonjy), Katlyn Chichearo (Keith), Daniel Bagnell, Thomas Bagnell (Megan), and a proud great-uncle to several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jim grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of St. Dominic’s Grade School, Father Judge High School (Class of 1981), and St. Joseph’s University. He built a successful career in Finance, contributing his talents to several respected organizations, including AstraZeneca and Sony DADC. Jim resided in Delaware and enjoyed his early retirement the last few years.

Jim approached life with energy and enthusiasm. He loved staying active, spending summer days at the shore with family and friends and cheering on his beloved Eagles.

Above all, Jim was known for his integrity, kindness, and generosity. He touched the lives of those around him in meaningful and lasting ways.

We are grateful for the many joyful, funny, and unforgettable memories we shared with Jim. His presence enriched our lives, and he will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia 19150.
