Beloved husband of Dianne (nee Massott), he is the devoted father of Gina Lafferty (Mike), Stephen Edwards (Janine), Janelle Bascom (Sean), Danielle Ferraro, and James (Cassie).  Loving Pop Pop of Nicholas, Brenna, Michael, Ethan, Katrina, Emily, David, Jacob, Savannah, Olivia, Sean, and Ryan.  Dear brother of Alfred, Rita, Joanne, and the late Richard; son of the late James and Rita.  A Navy Veteran, Jim was also a retired employee of Septa after 44 years of service.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather Tuesday, July 9, 2019, 7:30 AM to 9:15 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA followed by his Service 9:30 AM.  Interment will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Superhero Project Inc., 116 Cloverly Leaf Lane, North Wales, PA 19454 in his memory would be appreciated.
