James Andrew Griffin passed away peacefully on January 28 ^th 2018 in Warminster, PA.

He was born on February 14, 1922 in Philadelphia.

James (Jimmy) was a commercial painter most of his life and active in the Local Painter's Union 2011; especially, in their apprentice program.  He loved to travel the world with his second wife, Joyce, and they visited such places as Iceland, New Zealand, Australia, the British Isles and every state in the United States.  He was known for his repertoire of jokes and he will be missed by family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents (Samuel and Katie Carr Griffin), older brother (Samuel) and sister (Virginia), and his beloved second wife, Joyce Vathis Griffin and his daughter from his first marriage Barbara Williams.

James is survived by his son, Gregory and daughter Marnie; his stepdaughters, Alma Christine (Thomas) Howell and Constance (Michael) Beck and stepson James (Erika) Vathis; his granddaughter Shannon Griffin and great grandson Lane Griffin;  his "Vathis" step-granddaughters Erika (Brian) Endlein and Christina (James) Childears; and step-great grandchildren Parker and Charlotte Endlein and Ava Childears.

Relatives and friends are invited to All Saints Episcopal Church, 9601 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia on Friday, February 2 ^nd for visitation at 10 A.M., followed by a communion service at 10:30 A.M.. Interment will follow the service at All Saints cemetery.
