IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James S.
Hedricks
January 12, 1961 – December 19, 2024
James Steven Hedricks, lovingly known as "Jim," passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 19th, 2024. He was 63 years old.
Beloved husband of Rose Hedricks (nee D'Ambrosio) of 34 years. Loving father of Michelle Angeny (Nicholas), Nicole Hedricks, and Rachel Hedricks. Brother of Patricia Hampton (the late Walter "Skip"). Predeceased by his parents Maryellen and Donald Hedricks. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Jim attended St. Matthew's Grade School and was a graduate of Father Judge High School. Jim continued his education at Pierce College and Temple University for Accounting. He later decided to change careers and joined the Carpenter's Union Local 1856. After 30 years of hard work, he retired in 2017. In addition to working full time, his generosity and skills as a carpenter made him the go-to person for family and friends as he installed many kitchens, decks, basements, and more for them.
Jim was a devoted husband and loving "girl dad." His family was always his first priority in life and he spent all his time and energy with them. Over the years, he loved to both coach and attend every practice, game and tournament for all three girls. Jim also enjoyed going to Sea Isle City, which was his "happy place," where he enjoyed sitting on the beach, surrounded by his family, listening to music and enjoying the peaceful ocean. He was also an avid Philly sports fan, who cheered on the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers, and enjoyed his season tickets for many years. Additionally, he loved traveling extensively and was fortunate enough to take many trips along his life journey, most recently Iceland and Italy.
Jim was a quiet man, and a gentle soul who sat back and took it all in. He exemplified everything that a man, father and husband should be.
