A Navy Veteran, Jim was the devoted father of James Jr. (Nancy) and Lynn Mays (Bruce), beloved pop pop of Kirk, Jimmy III, Megan, Kate, and Kris, dear brother of Thomas Manion (Peg) and the late Marie Foley, Kathleen Cassidy and Julie Muldoon. Son of the late Thomas and Kathleen Manion. Raised in the Fairmount Section of Philadelphia, Jim graduated from Roman Catholic High School, LaSalle University and at the age of 70 earned his Masters from Philadelphia Univ. He was a former IRS agent and later self-employed as a tax accountant. He was also a proud supporter and past president of Fairmont Brewerytown Sports ALL-Timers. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday Evening 7 to 9 PM and also Tuesday 10:30 to 11:30 AM, Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Ave., followed by his Funeral Mass 12 Noon St. Katherine of Siena Church. Interment is Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Lewy Body Dementia Assoc., 912 Killian Hill Rd., S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047, in his memory would be appreciated.
