James D. McCann Sr. died suddenly Sunday, June 28, 2015, in Cape May, N.J.
Jim was born in Philadelphia and lived there many years before moving to Langhorne a few years ago. He was formerly employed with Penndot for many years, and during that time, a member of Council 13 AFSCME Local 2534. Recently, he was employed with the Bensalem School District.
Growing up, Jim spent many summers in Sea Isle City, N.J., where he was a lifeguard. Jim was an "original one of a kind"; he was a self-anointed inventor. He got great enjoyment out of skateboards, motorcycles, boats during his life. Not only was he a good fisherman, but he was equally as good in the kitchen with his culinary skills.
Jim will be truly missed by a lot of friends and family.
Loving father of Jacquelyn and Jimmy and the beloved son of Joan and the late James F. McCann, he is the brother of Brian, Dan, and Paul and also is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and his former wife, Marjorie.
