James H. Springfield, Sr.

James H. Springfield, Sr., age 85, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen Springfield (née McKeever). Devoted father of James Springfield, Jr. and Janice Miller, he was also a dear brother to William and Ronald (Audrey). He is lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1957 to 1961. Following his service, he dedicated his career to the building trades.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at Burns Funeral Home, 9708 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in James’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
