James V. Byrne passed away on July 31, 2019. Loving brother to Michael Byrne ( Annette ) and Johanna Compton (H. Throne) of Columbia S.C. Son to the late Michael and Johanna Byrne, also survived my many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A 1965 graduate of St. Joseph Prep. A 1969 college graduate of St. Vincent College in Latrobe PA. James worked at Septa as a auditor for 39 years. Master to his beloved cat Jonathan. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday morning at St. Ignatius nursing home ( 4401 Haverford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19104 ) from 8:30AM to 9:30AM followed directly by his Funeral Mass. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in James name to St. Ignatius Nursing Home.
