Janet I. Million passed away peacefully at her home on May 30, 2019 at the age of 67. Loving wife of the late Richard, Sr. devoted mother of Gina Charlton (Mickey), and Richard Jr. and very dear Mom Mom of Sara and Ryan. Janet was the beloved sister of Phyllis Szal-Smith (Roger), Joe Szal (Lisa), Chris Szal (BettyLynn), Marianne Matthews (Chuck), and Sister-in-Law Arleen Gilbert (Lance).  She is also survived by our Matthew Schwartzer and Companion of Phil Mayer.  Janet was preceded in death by her beloved parents Dr. Joseph and Mildred Szal and in-laws Alfonso and Clara Million. Janet will surely be missed by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Janet received a Bachelor of Science degree in teaching from Holy Family College and a Master of Science degree from Beaver College. Janet was a dedicated teacher at Our Lady of Ransom School in the Philadelphia Archdiocese. Janet's later lifework focused on serving those with addiction as the Director of Admissions at Livengrin Foundation. Janet was also an engaged member of Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia.

Janet was an energetic and caring woman, who loved dancing, music, throwing punches at MMA and making new friends wherever she was! She loved to host holiday gatherings at her home, valued family and friends and will be greatly missed by her grandkids. Memories with Janet will be forever held in the hearts of all who of those knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday 6-9 PM at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 and Thursday at Calvary Chapel, 13500 Philmont Ave. Phila., PA 19116 from 10-10:45 AM followed by her Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.
