Jean E. Christino (nee Kummerling) passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, at the age of 70. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Gerald and Doris Kummerling (née Bricker), whom she missed dearly.

Jean E. was a proud graduate of George Washington High School, Class of 1972, in Philadelphia, PA. Soon after graduation, she began her career as a dental assistant, but she also found joy in working as a waitress for many years at various establishments in Northeast Philadelphia, most notably at Coach's Bar & Grill in Mayfair.

Among Jean E's many passions was her love of hot air ballooning. She cherished the serenity of soaring through the sky, basking in the warmth of the sun and taking in breathtaking views. She also had a deep love for flowers, with her kitchen window graced by many, including her prized 30-year-old Christmas cactus. Jean E's fondness for the Beatles was a cherished part of her life, and their music brought her comfort and joy.

Jean E. was a grandmother to Elliana, Abigail, and Dylan. She is survived by her beloved cousin, caregiver, and best friend, Gregory Kummerling, along with her many cherished cousins: Beverly Kummerling, Stephen (Donna) Kummerling, Lisa Russo, Jim (Lorraine) De Gardnuer, Joe (Dana) De Gardnuer, Kathy De Gardnuer, Colleen (Mike) Berry, Cynthia Collins, and Richard Collins.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Christ the King Church, 3252 Chesterfield Rd., Philadelphia, PA, 19114, at 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean E.'s memory can be made to the FOP Survivors Fund, 11630 Caroline Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154.
