It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jeanmarie Grimes, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, on Friday, April 4, 2025. Jean, known for her kind, caring, generous, loving, and spontaneous personality, brought joy to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of family, and her ability to make everyone around her feel special.

Jean had a deep love for her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she adored and took great joy in caring for. Family vacations were a highlight of her life, where she created lasting memories with her loved ones. Jean also had a playful side, often delighting in playing pranks and sharing laughter with those around her. Her heart was big enough for everyone, and she was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was rescuing animals or showering those she loved (including their pets) with generous gifts.

Jeanmarie started her nursing career as an RN at Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia where she worked in the NICU caring for babies. She then continued her nursing career as a visiting nurse.

Jean is the cherished daughter of the late John and Dorothy Grimes. She is survived by her dear brother, Kenneth (Diane) Grimes and sister, Deniseanne Grimes, as well as her loving nieces, nephews, cats, friends, cousins, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, the late Jackie Grimes and the late David Grimes.

A memorial service to honor Jean's life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to a local animal rescue organization.

Jeanmarie will be dearly missed, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
