Jim M. Hellings passed away on October 28, 2024. Son of the late Donald and Joan Hellings. Loving partner to Nancy for over 40 years. Beloved dad to Jim (Jess) and Melissa Breen (John). Cherished Pop to Julia, Max and James. Dear brother to Debra Lynne DiElsi (Frank), Gary (Nancy), Susan P. Campbell and Michele D. Molko (Curt). Jim was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jim grew up in the Tacony section of Northeast Philadelphia where he played the drums, graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School (Class of 1977), and worked at Green's Nursery. While working, Jim obtained training via tree climbing school and completed landscape management courses. This training and education led to him starting his own business; Nature's Way Landscaping.

Jim was the guy who knew everybody and would help anybody. Jim greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, relaxing in Wildwood Crest, fishing off the coast of Cape May, playing Fantasy Football (2022 Season Champion) and watching all three of his grandchildren play musical instruments.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 10:00AM-12:00PM, at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia PA 19114), followed by his Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Jim's name to a charity of your choosing.
