Joan G. Schweitzer (nee Jacoby) passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on August 28, 2022, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Robert Schweitzer. Loving mother of Lorraine Nessel (Frank), and Robert Schweitzer (Kim). Dear Nana of Frank, Timothy, Andrew, Jennifer, Peter, Haley, Ryan, Noah, and Ally. Sister of Richard Jacoby. Joan enjoyed working with the Bensalem Twp. Police Department for over 20 years.

Joan was a devout and cherished member of Liberty Evangelical Free Church, whose members were her second family.  A highlight of each year was having the congregation over to her house for the annual Christmas party. Joan's works of charity extended to her delivery of Meals on Wheels, which she continued until she was 83 years old.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19114 at 6:00 PM followed by her Prayer Service at 8:00 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Liberty Evangelical Free Church, 5125 Linden Ave. Phila., PA 19114 would be appreciated.
