Joan C. Slowinski **RESCHEDULED**

*Joan's Funeral is currently rescheduled due to upcoming inclement weather* 

Joan C. Slowinski (née Schoppe), age 91, passed away on February 10, 2026.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1934.  She was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Kathryn Schoppe.  Joan was a proud graduate of Little Flower High School for Girls.  Prior to her retirement, she was a dedicated Executive Secretary at W.B. Saunders in Philadelphia.  

Beloved wife of the late Bernard "Ben" Slowinski, who was the love of her life.  They were married for over 68 years.  Joan and Ben retired to the Jersey Shore in the 1980's, where they enjoyed family, friends, and neighbors in their dream home.  

Joan is survived by daughters Joann Claypoole (George), Karen Forbes (the late Bill) and son John Slowinski (Janine).  Dear grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave. Phila., PA 19136 at 10:00 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private at the request of the family.
