It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joan Y. Wombough who peacefully left us on July 21, 2025 at the age of 90.  Born on December 19, 1934, Joan graced the world with her resilient spirit, infectious humor, and boundless love.

Joan is the beloved wife of the late William Wombough and the late Bernard "Mike" Gallagher.  Loving mother of Sharon Gallagher (Michael Sussman), Dolores McCoy (Chris), Robert Gallagher (Clare), Steven Abro, Gary Wombough, Kathleen Morris (Richard Elles) and the late Catherine Wombough.  Joan was the dear MomMom of Andrew (Courtney), Matthew, Michael (Liz), Victoria (Alfred), Daniel, and Shawn; Great Grandmother of Maeve, Nicholas, and Avery Rose.  She is also survived by her brothers George Greaves (AnnaMaria) and John Greaves (Rita) with nieces and nephews Jesse, Jon, Kristian, Brianna, and Marissa.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 9:30-10:45 A.M at St. Anselm Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.  Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
