Joann Wallace (née McElroy) passed away Tuesday, November 9th, 2021 surrounded by her family and friends. She was 75 years old.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ann and her beloved husband Harry. Joann leaves behind daughters Christine, Carol, Sharon, Donna, and son-in-law Sham; grandchildren Joann (Steven), Joseph (Ashley), Jessica (Anthony), Brandan (Rachael), Jake, Justine, Angelika, and Andersson; great grandchildren Nevaeh, Ava, Ariyen, Kaylee, Saphira, Zion, and Cattleya; sisters Patty and Kathy and brother Joey; sister-in-law Anne; and many nieces and nephews. She treasured the company of her family-friends Pete and Edith, Ginger, Marie and Tony, Sue, Irene and Louie, Nancy, Eileen, Carol and Andy, Ray, Joe, Tom, and countless others.

Joann loved her sweet dogs Max, Charlotte, Sadie, and Hazey. She spent many nights playing Pokeno and 500 Rummy with her family, and always looked forward to her next gathering with "The Group." She never forgot birthdays or anniversaries, and she enjoyed trips to the dollar store to pick out cards to celebrate those special occasions. She always tuned in to watch her favorite soap operas and wrestling shows with Sharon, and she never missed an episode of Family Feud. She often played word search games on her iPad. Her favorite activity was catching up with her friends and family on the phone. She was known for her iconic phrases, "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph," "So I turned around and said...," and "Listen, you," with a pointed finger.

Joann loved visiting Cosmo's to eat her favorite shrimp dish, and she always had her candies around the house. She loved banana milkshakes and ice cream with chocolate sprinkles. She often had Lorna Doone cookies with her chamomile tea.

Above all else, Joann cherished every moment with her family and friends and treasured them all beyond measure. She gave the best hugs and had the softest hands to hold. She was a hardworking girl from The Bronx who raised a family with her true love, Harry, who she met at age fifteen.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 9-10:45 A.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 1514 Woodbourne Rd., Levittown, PA 19057.  Funeral Service 11 A.M.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
