Jody Rodgers passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 78. Jody was born in Philadelphia, PA to Stoddard and Anne Rodgers. She was educated in the Philadelphia public school system, graduating from the Philadelphia High School for Girls in 1964.From there, she went on to attend Holy Family College, graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology, as well as earning a Master's degree in School Psychology from Temple University.

Jody was employed by the Philadelphia Public Schools for thirty-five years as a school psychologist. While working in this field, she studied acting, both privately and at Villanova University. This led to her participation as an extra in many television and film productions, including "Days of Our Lives", "Trading Places" and "Witness."

After retirement, she made the decision to shift gears and attended Rutgers University as a History major, being awarded a Master of Arts in that subject. This led to her subsequent employment as an Archivist at the University of Pennsylvania Museum for several years.

Upon leaving that position, she pursued the study of guitar with Richard Drueding and developed her skills as a visual artist under the instruction of Marcia Jones.

She was a person of many intellectual and social interest, an avid volunteer and supporter of numerous charitable organizations, a lover of animals, and a kind and supportive person toward others.

Jody is survived by her brother Kevin Rodgers and his fiancé Barbara Williams as well as many cousins and extended family members.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday November 10, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 819 E. Cathedral Rd. Phila., PA 19128 from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
