John F. Amend, age 69, passed away on Nov 27, 2024 surrounded by family. John is the Beloved Companion to Jean Pinkham. Loving Dad to Melissa Conner (Christopher), Sarah Dougherty (Richard, Jr.) and Jessica Gill (Zach). Cherished Pappy to Jack, Brynn, Brooke, and Aubrey. Dear brother to Robert (the late Anastasia), Kathy McGraw (Clint), Frank (Cindy), Joseph (Susan), Mary Lou Rosenthal (Stuart), James (Robin), William (Diane) and dear cousin to "Couswell" John Amend. John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was born and raised in Bensalem, PA, making that his home for over 45 years. He later lived in Virginia then settling in Swedesboro, NJ to be closer to his beloved grandchildren. John worked as a forklift mechanic and member of Local 542 Operating Engineers, then later as a mechanic in the pharmaceutical industry.  John valued family time down the shore in Brigantine and Ocean City, NJ as well as the annual Christmas party with his siblings and their families.  John was an avid fisherman and was a long-time member and the treasurer for the Bensalem Fishing Club.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Jersey Fish & Wildlife Habitat Supporter Program.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Burns Funeral Home (9708 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia PA 19114) from 10:30AM-12:00PM, followed by his Memorial Service. Interment private.
