John attended Lincoln High School and Henry Ford Trade School excelling in Shop Trigonometry. John was a member of the Birch Athletic Club and Frankford Yellow Jackets Football Team. He served in the U.S. Army from January 29, 1953 to January 21, 1955 and was awarded the OCC Medal. John was a machinist at Budd Co., enjoyed fishing, carpentry, a master at Sudoku puzzle solver and going to the racetrack "to play the horse." John married Lorraine Cecelia Waters on May 12, 1956. She attended John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School and was the recipient of the Margaret Mary Reilly Prize for Excellence in Homemaking Studies-Clothing Department. Lorraine was a Teacher's Aide at St. Boniface Grade School. An avid reader of History, she also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and furniture refinishing. John and Lorraine are survived by their children, Mary, Joan and John Jr. who loved them very much. Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
