John Cieri, age 95, passed away on Saturday September 3rd, 2022.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Dolores. Loving father of John (Linda) and Edward (Patti). Devoted Pop to Angela (Ted), Holly (Chris), Eddie (Rachel) and Amanda (Collin). Proud Great Pop to Vivian, Aaron and Vada. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

John enjoyed spending time with his family. Before he became sick, he would get down on the floor to play with his great grandchildren, and they so enjoyed their old pop.

He was as tough as they come, growing up through the Great Depression, where he learned the importance of working hard. He served in WWII as a medic. He later became a dedicated employee of Sears and Roebuck where he was passionate about his work as a TV repair man. He enjoyed it so much that he also did it as a side job. In his leisure time, he enjoyed being in a bowling league and was also a near scratch golfer into his eighties. He was a long time resident of Winchester Park.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday, 9-10:15 A.M. at BURNS FUNERAL HOME, 9708 Frankford Ave., Phila., PA 19114.  Funeral Service 10:30 A.M.  Interment St. Dominic Cemetery.
